The tree planting project

Growing Northamptonshire, one sale at a time.

For every home I sell, ten native trees are planted right here in the county — in country parks, along woodland edges, and in community spaces near where I live. It's my small way of saying that estate agency should leave a place better than it found it.

Why trees, and why here.

Most of the planting happens close to home — Brixworth Country Park, the woodland margins around Pitsford Reservoir, and the community spaces the county council and Wildlife Trust look after. Native species: oak, hazel, field maple, hawthorn, silver birch.

I like that it's the opposite of glossy corporate sustainability. It's local, it's visible, and children will still be climbing these trees long after they've forgotten the name of the estate agent who helped their parents move house.

It also happens to be the clearest expression of what "personal agent" means: someone who's actually here, who chose this county on purpose, and who's staying.
